Received promo package from The Dive Bar Stalkers.  They are a professional grade Rockabilly band from Florida. I love the CD. 

I played the CD to an unsuspected audience.  Her immediate response was "Wow, I like this.  What kind of music is this?"  So, I explained about Rockabilly and how we don't hear any good Rockabilly anymore, EXCEPT, thanks for The Dive Bar Stalkers we can enjoy this feel-good Rockabilly.

Oh boy, I know too much about Florida.  The Dive Bar Stalkers is a band you've gotta check out.  They are a fun Rockabilly band.  I knew Jeff Vitolo when he was in Mojo Gurus over 2 years ago.  You can see Jeff Vitolo singing "The Guitar King" at Mojo Gurus' page.

To make long story short: Jeff is now doing Rockabilly with a bunch of fun guys. 

Hollywood, The Dive Bar Stalkers are a tough act to follow.  We might as well enjoy.  Oh, I love their MySpace page.

Peppermint Creeps are a Glam metal band from Hollywood, California, formed in 1997. Reminiscent of Kiss's style and sound. The group are recognisable by their makeup, often fluorescent red, pink or green coloured hair, as well as their elaborate stage costumes consisting of mainly black PVC with fluorescent colours again. The Peppermint Creeps have become an icon to many glam rock bands globally, thus their look is no longer unique but has become popular.

Watching Silver Dirt is like taking a time machine back 15 years in Hollywood.  They carry the spirit of Rock and Roll that's we are desperately looking for.  Silver Dirt sent me their CD and a few stickers (long~ time ago). I am sorry that it took so long.  Thank you for having YouTube videos available.

About MALFAKTOR
Formed in late 2005, Malfaktor is an Experimental-Industrial-Metal band from Huntington Beach, California. Malfaktor formed out of the ruins of their former band, Ritualistic Suicide, by its founders, lead singer/programmer Doug Cheek, former lead guitarist/synths/programmer Tim Miller, and bass/synths/programmer Larry Orban III. Malfaktor has currently risen to new heights, but only recently...

During most of 2006, they visualized what Malfaktor was at the time and also recorded approximately ten (10) songs, including the single "Dirty Faith", for their upcoming debut album, The Delay of the Inevitable. The band took a well needed break in the latter part of 2006, but in 2007, the band seemed to have changed a bit.

I am happy to know that a lot of veteran underground bands are searchable online.  Some bands are completely untraceable, but some of them have adopted new technology & left their foot prints.  I crossed my fingers and searched "Spiders & Snakes" and I found the video of "Public Enemy Number One" This is my favorite Spiders and Snakes song.  You know, this song was written, partially, by the original member of Spiders & Snakes.

I remember that day vividly. It was around 2001 when I went to Key club.  It was a Glam night  (Revlon Red was in the lineup).  Tim, the drummer from Spiders and Snakes gave me the CD - "Public Enemy Number One".  We even took a picture together with my film camera. 

Tim was a drummer from Spiders & Snakes.  But at that time, he was helping out Sisters Grimm with drums.  I wonder how Sisters Grimm is doing.  I remember visiting their drummer's house in the Valley before she quit Sisters Grimm. 

Public Enemy Number One is a high quality rock song.  Good time.

They must have toned down their stage act somewhat, because they are now allowed to play in Hollywood.  Rebel Rebel used to be banned in Hollywood back then.  They used to cut off dead animals and threw it in to the audience.

They are psychotic with music to match.  Just Check out the video.  But, you must now that these guys are professionals.  They have families and businesses.  When you meet them before/after the show, you will see that they are just normal folks.  They would love to chat with you after the show.  I had some good memories knowing these guys.  I wonder what Gizmo (drummer) is doing now.  I wish a good luck with the new drummer.

So, we all agree that Hollywood is fun. All the bands are here to entertain us, and we love their unique styles.  But, once in a while, one must ask "who are the best bands around here?". Once a while, we have to become critiques and analyze their music part by part.

CARTOON SAVIOR - By ZAK DANIELS And The ONE EYED SNAKES

Zak Daniels and the One Eyed Snakes is the band you might want to analyze. They are clearly the band that stands out, not because of a hype, but because of their talent.

It's sad to hear people saying "Rock is dead in Hollywood". Lots of thanks to Pussy Sisster from Germany, we can keep the spirit alive here in Hollywood. They do come here in LA to hang out. They recently completed a US tour.  Their sound reminds us of Hollywood's club scene during the 80's & the 90's. They are fun loving guys.  Give them a chance.

Heaven's Burning - All Girl Band
Heaven's Burning is a three piece all girl band. They have a sound of underground college band. They tour a lot and they get invited to many underground & mainstream community events. They also get some air times (radio) that most bands dream of getting.

They are extremely popular in the college community. They don't fancy themselves with "sex". They come to us as regular folks who have some messages to tell. Listen to there audio sample and hear what they have to say. They are simple, deep, and likeable.
